T&B vs. NIGHT SLUGS

Drop the Lime, The Captain, Star Eyes and Math Head - otherwise known as the stars behind New York's most infamous parties and label, Trouble & Bass (T & B) -  has  teamed up with London-based Night Slugs for a one-off super-special FREE party at East Village in Shoreditch.

Breaking out of Brooklyn, the T&B crew have earned fans the world over, including the likes of Diplo, Sinden, Switch and Tayo. On top of that Drop The Lime is one of the biggest new names in dance music in 2008 - blitzing festivals and clubs worldwide (including his main room residency at London's Fabric).

Promoting their Trouble & Bass party in New York, the four also run the label of the same name, releasing their own work as well as championing the heavy bass sound of the likes of Boy 8 Bit, Mikix the Cat, Little Jinder and Baobinga.  Trouble & Bass has been voted one of the best up- and-coming labels by FACT and XLR8R magazine and featured in Dazed & Confused and the iconic Serie B (Spain).

Math Head's recent 'Turn The Music Up' EP on the label has garnered immense praise from the likes of Crookers, Proxy and DJ Mehdi; who called 'Get Hype' his favorite track of 2008.

The next release on Trouble & Bass is Drop the Lime's Hear Me, a track that Mixmag declared would "cause some much needed devastation to your dancefloor". Not only is the original a monster, it's backed up with huge remixes from Buraka Som Sistema, AC Slater. Drums of Death and The Touch.

Night Slugs is Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990, who form part of a cross-continental network of like-minded DJs and producers, including people like Philadelphia's Starkey, Mad Decent and Dutty Artz.

All the crew are influenced by grime and dubstep as well as various gobal ghetto house movements, producing music that is diverse in style but unified in its influences.  Bok Bok (Faggatronix, Bok Bok & Manara) is behind the smash bassline primer, "What's a Niche" mixtape for Mad Decent, which saw several hundred thousand downloads worldwide. L-Vis 1990 is the newest signing to Tres Cool, and recently remixed Hot Chip and Filthy Dukes.

It's gonna be a big one. Come get your insides bassed out at East Village.
